Bridges for Learning offers a range of specialised programs for families, covering Social & Emotional development, Language, Sensory & Movement and Parenting. These programs are well recognised and support development of both the child’s and parent’s skills.

Social / Emotional

Cool Little Kids

The Cool Little Kids program is a structured, skills-based program that teaches parents how to better manage their preschool child’s anxiety.

Cool Kids

The Cool Kids program is a structured, skills-based program that teaches children (including teenagers) and their parents how to better manage the child’s anxiety.

Cool Kids Adaptations (7-12 yrs)

The Cool Kids Adaptations program focuses on teaching children with a formal diagnosis of ASD (mild, high functioning, Aspergers or PDD-NOS) and parents skills to manage anxiety in everyday situations.

Cool Kids ‘Chilled’ Anxiety (13-15yrs)

The Cool Kids ‘Chilled’ Anxiety program is a structured skills based program that teaches adolescents how to better manage their anxiety and depression.

Cool Kids ‘Chilled’ Anxiety/Depression (13-15yrs)

The Cool Kids ‘Chilled’ Anxiety/Depression program is a structured skills based program that teaches adolescents how to better manage their anxiety and depression. 

Language

Hanen: It Takes Two to Talk

It Takes Two to Talk is a registered Hanen program. It empowers parents with strategies to support their children who need help developing communication.

Sensory and Movement

Alert Program

The Alert Program is an innovative program that supports children, teachers, parents, and therapists to choose appropriate strategies to change or maintain states of alertness.

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is a form of physiotherapy treatment that uses warm water to assist and resist body movements, relax and strengthen muscles and help reduce pain. 

 

Parenting

Primary Care Stepping Stones Triple P

Stepping Stones Triple P is a short term individual program for parents seeking support to address behavioural challenges they are facing with their children.

Parents as Case Coordinators (PACC)

The PACC program aims to support parents and carers to confidently and successfully independently advocate for their child and to coordinate the services and supports they want their child to access.

MyTime

A free support group for parents and carers of young children with a disability or chronic medical condition. Free child care while parents are in the group. This group is supported by Playgroup NSW.
