Bridges for Learning base our services on Family Centred Practice – the gold standard in early childhood intervention.

This practice recognises that each child and family is unique, and that a child’s family are the experts on their child’s needs and abilities.

Our services are delivered by a team of dedicated and experienced professionals who provide practical sessions in a positive, fun and caring manner.

Our Services

Partnering With You

You and your family work in partnership with Bridges for Learning to make informed decisions about the supports and services you will access. Family centred services make sure that all of the family needs are considered when providing support and guidance.

Session times can vary from ½ – 1 hour and what happens during this time can vary in many ways. Sessions will almost always involve doing something practical (hands on) with your child, and will always involve some discussion with you.

Planning for Success

When we first start working with you, we will spend time planning together. These plans form the basis for the sessions that will follow. Sessions may take place in your home, at our centre, your child’s childcare centre/ preschool or school. We will refer back to these plans and will make changes as they are needed.

Support for Growth

The staff at Bridges for Learning are passionate about working alongside each family to support them in learning new skills that will help their child develop as well as increasing their understanding of their child’s need. As each family has a better understanding of their child’s needs we can support them as they make sure that their child receives the support they need at school or in the community.
