Parents as Case Coordinators (PaCC)
PaCC is a supportive seven week group training program for families of children with a disability. PaCC has been developed with the aim of providing parents and carers with the skills that will enable them to become their own child’s Case Manager.
This will be particularly useful with the beginning of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Bridges for Learning has commenced running the PaCC program in 2016.
The sessions include:
– Goal setting and support networks.
– Individual Family Service Plans
– Resource management
– What is conflict.
– Problem solving and self- advocacy
– Self care
– Self reflection
Sessions run for 90 minutes over a seven week period. Places are strictly limited to 6-8 people in each session.
